How to Grow Thicker Hair
When I was younger I had thicker, fuller hair. I can remember screaming when my mom would try to brush it out because it always was so tangled! Even though it was a pain to manage, I loved having thicker hair! Over the years I’ve had a problem with thinning hair. I know it’s not as thin or fine like others but it’s not something I’m used to. My mom and sister have thinner hair now too so I am assuming it just runs in the family. Everyone seems to think my hair is still thick but I think it’s because it’s naturally curly and doesn’t look as thin as one might think.
You can see at the part in my hair below how the I have thinning hair:
Here’s some great tips that I do to create more volume and achieve thicker hair:
1. Don’t wash your hair everyday. Since I have curly hair I absolutely must have wet hair to style it but I don’t shampoo it everyday. I normally only shampoo it one or two days each week. Sometimes I’ll add my favorite leave-in conditioner. Once or twice a month I use a deep conditioning treatment like Neutrogena’s Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask. I’ll put a shower cap over it and sleep with it on overnight. It really gives my hair a boost since I color it.
2. Avoid heat styling tools. This one is super easy for me. I rarely blow dry my hair unless it’s freezing out and I have to leave the house right away. Since my hair is curly I try to let it air dry as much as possible. I haven’t used a flat iron on it in years!
3. Use a hair regrowth treatment. Rogaine has an amazing new product, Women’s Rogaine Hair Regrowth Treatment, you can find at your local Walmart. I’ve been using it for nearly a month now. The Women’s Rogaine foam works beneath the surface to reactivate follicles to help regrow hair in a once a day foam. It’s super quick and easy to work into your daily routine. Plus, it gets to the “root” of your thinning hair problems. I love to pair it with Aveeno Nourish+Shine shampoo and conditioner. It’s great for my dry, color treated hair!
Now since I’m using Women’s Rogaine Hair Regrowth Treatment I can get rid of all the hair products I’m no longer using. Plus, it’s going to save me so much money no longer purchasing so many different products to get the volume I want for my hair. Rogaine gives me the volume I need!
What are your favorite hair products to use for thicker hair or to create more volume? If you have thinning hair, I suggest trying Women’s Rogaine Hair Regrowth Treatment at Walmart!

These are all great tips! I take a prenatal vitamin every day as well even though I’m not pregnant or nursing. I love the extra vitamins for my hair and nails. I might have to try Rogaine soon because my forehead is turning into a five head! #client

Well, I have not try Rogaine, Thanks for the advice, I’m gonna try it. I have sleek hair and I have tried a lot of things to make it more bigger, to have more volume. You could try Aloe Vera, straight from the plant. Right now, I’m using a horse shampoo(not for humans) and it is really good, it has coconut. I tried pills but they didn’t work so good. Is hard to remember all the things, but you can use Biotin. I prefer the shampoo and conditioner. It does MIRACLES.

OMG I was using rogaine ( minoxidil 5% ) and it it is awsome it is not because of hair loss no it is because I had an impulsive control disorder called trichotillomania which is the fact of pulling my own hair !! it is not like crazy or something like that, you just become obssesed with pulling it out it could be your hair, your eyelashes, or even your eyebrows. Thank God I am no more a trichster I don’t pull my hair out anymore and I went to a dermatologist she gave me minoxidil 5% ( Rogaine it is for men but women also can use it) and I made a mistake so I don’t want anyone to make it do noooooooot apply it without wearing a hairband omg it grew me hair in my face !!!!!! and I am totally serious i still have that facial hair and I am shocked because it is too thin and blond I went to another dermatologist she told me that laser will make it look worse facial removel cream too anything except for one cream called vaniqa or something like that but unfotunately it is not permanent so I will need to apply it for the rest of my life in order to decrease the productivity of hair growth so please everyone should know what to do it is not that minoxidil is bad or something like that no it is just my fault so wear that hairband before aplying it

Thanks for the tips on getting thicker hair. I haven’t purchased Rogaine but buy shampoo for volume. I use to have hair enough for 2 people but with thyroid problems and not eating right it has gotten so thin. I don’t wash my hair every day and when I comb it I get so much hair it’s scary. I wear my hair short and spike it up so doesn’t look as thin.

I have always had very thick hair but recently had surgery and starting losing my hair afterward. I was told it is common after big surgeries but I would love to try and get the thickness back. I just didn’t want to spend money if it didn’t work. Thanks for your review.

I liked reading your tips. My problem is age and thinning straight hair. The styling products do a lot of damage, but can’t be avoided. I have never tried Aveeno, but am going to look at it more next visit to Walmart. Thanks.
