From Pinterest:

Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes.

Best of all, you can browse pinboards created by other people. Browsing pinboards is a fun way to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests.

I love Pinterest for finding great new do-it-yourself projects around the house!

How to Add Google Plus to your Site or Blog

How and Why to Add Google Plus to your Site or Blog

How to add google plus to your blog or website? I am sure you have seen a lot of the +1 icons as shown above when performing a google search. By clicking the +1 button next to a website or blog post, you are giving it your public stamp of approval giving you easy access to share it, add comments, and send to your circles on Google+. It is similar to when you ‘like’ something on facebook. You are letting your friends know you ‘like’ it and we are hoping they will ‘like’ it too, or in this case that they will +1 it.

Google+ Circles allow you to interact with like minds in the same group. For instance, I have circles that include friends, blogs, acquaintances, etc. It allows you to share the content you want with that specific group. Obviously, Google is competing with facebook.

To start with adding a Google +1 icon to your website, you first need to get your Google+ page. Once you have added your page, go to Get Started on the left side under your icon. Scroll down to Connect your Website and click on Get the Badge. Now you can choose the style of badge or icon you want and it will display the code to add to the html of your website. I added the Small Badge to our website which you can see on the right sidebar towards the top. This allows users an easy way to add you to their circles. I also have a +1 icon on each of your blog posts. It’s a great way for readers to easily add the content they choose. Easy-peasy, right?

How To Create a Grab My Blog Button

Giveaway Bandit

Many bloggers offer a “grab my button” on their blog. It is a great way to gain extra exposure by swapping blog buttons with other bloggers. By offering the html for them, users are more likely to add it to their own blog. These buttons are normally found with a box underneath containing html. So, I am going to teach you how to add one to your blog if you haven’t already.

  1. Select Your Button Size: I normally go with a 125×125 size button. You can make them larger or smaller, but most users will put a smaller button on their site than a large one. Of course, they can resize it themselves, but some may not know how to do that. I suggest going with a smaller size, but no smaller than 125×125. You want people to be able to see it!
  2. Create Your Image: I use Photoshop to create and edit images, but any type of standard image editing software will do.
  3. Upload Your Image: You will need to upload the image to the server your blog is on. I like to use Fire FTP for Firefox for uploading. It makes everything quite simple.
  4. Copy the Code: <div align=”center”> <a href=”http://YOURBLOGADDRESS.com” target=”_blank”><img alt=”BLOG TITLE” src=”http://BUTTONLOCATION.gif”/></a> </div> <div align=”center”> <form><textarea rows=”6″ cols=”20″><a href=”http://YOURBLOGADDRESS.com” target=”_blank”><img alt=”BLOG TITLE” src=”http:// BUTTONLOCATION.gif”/></a></textarea></form> </div>
and add it to your blog. For Blogger, you will need to add it to a new HTML/Javascript Box. For WordPress you will add it to a new Text Box, which is located under Appearance >> Widgets. Change the above capital letters to your locations that you have uploaded. Click Save.
  5. Freaking out? First, calm down. Then you can go to the Grab My Button Code Generator and just have it done for you. Easy Peasy, right?

I hope you are able to now have a Grab My Button on your blog and share it with the world! Of course, we welcome you to add your button above to your blog :) Let us know if you did and we’ll add yours! Contact

How to Increase Your Klout Score & What is It? First of all, did you know you can earn awesome Klout Perks just by using Klout? Yes, that’s right! It’s definitely worth setting up an account and working to increase your score to earn these great perks.

How to Increase Your Klout Score & What is It?

What is Klout? Klout, also known as “Klout Score,” measures your influence based on your ability to drive action using data from social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. Every time you create content posted to social networks to influence others you can increase your score. It measures true reach, amplification, and network impact. To learn more about these, sign up for Klout.

How do I increase my Klout Score? Your score is not determined by the number of followers necessarily. It is based more on the reaction you get from your followers. If you were to start tweeting more just to increase your Klout Score, it won’t just go up. If you start receiving a higher response to your tweets, it can go up. Or, if your fans start interacting more on your facebook page or ‘liking’ your posts more, it can go up.

Top Tips for Increasing Your Klout Score:

  1. Connect ALL of your social networks – Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc.
  2. Be active in these social networks.
  3. Create good content your fans will share, especially when is brand specific.

If you would like me to be more specific on Klout, please let me know. These are my suggestions on increasing your score. I have found that it takes some time and you will start to see it increase!
